Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Wastewater Operator III is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a wastewater treatment
facility. This role monitors system performance, performs adjustments, and ensures equipment such as pumps, conveyors, blowers, and
vacuum systems remain operational.

 

Level III 

3rd shift 8p-6a Wed - Sunday

Responsibilities

Monitor effluent to maintain compliance and adjust treatment regimen as needed.
Oversee monitoring of inbound waste loads to verify they meet inbound parameters and will not negatively impact plant health
or compliance.

• Direct drivers to follow site safety procedures while on company property.
Collaborate with operators and the manager to address treatment issues; promptly report equipment malfunctions, spills, and
compliance concerns.
• Record daily system readings and inspections as needed.
• Enter operating data into information systems and maintain accurate system records.
• Review equipment maintenance and repair records and escalate issues as needed.
• Review logs and records of waste received and shipped off-site.
• Perform routine laboratory sampling and in-lab tests in accordance with procedures.
Perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping/grounds tasks (e.g., debris removal, weed trimming) to maintain a safe work
environment.
•• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training or ability to pass class upon hire
• Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and supporting electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of collection systems, including pump and regulator stations.
Valid driver's license
