An environmental solidification pit technician works on-site at the Richmond facility to convert liquid and semi-liquid waste into a safe, solid mass for disposal. This specialized role may  operate heavy equipment, forklift, etc., and handles some hazardous materials following strict safety and environmental regulations. The specific title for this position can vary depending on the project.
