Environmental Options is a Shamrock Environmental (in Rocky Mt. Va) company that is looking for an experienced CDL A Driver/Tech with tanker and hazmat endorsements , VAC Truck, and Tanker  experience preferred. The role of CDL A Driver/Tech would also require the pick-up of totes, drums, and pallets with hazardous and non-hazardous materials from our customer sites.

 

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial motor vehicles such as Box, Vacuum, Tankers, Roll-Off, and Front End loaders.
  • Ensure the truck remains in proper and safe working order and that routine and required maintenance occurs on time.
  • Maintain daily e-logs, safety & inspection reports, expense reports, and project reports while ensuring they are adequately documented.
  • Must be willing to perform manual labor-related tasks to support projects.
  • Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies, and requirements are met.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws regulating safe driving and the safe and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to be on call for emergency response (on a rotational schedule basis).
  • Ability to perform work based on task conditions and hazards.
  • Maintain appropriate driver's license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

Qualifications

  • Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement Required.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO drive a manual transmission.
  • 2+ years experience.
  • Must be willing to perform manual labor-related tasks to support projects
  • MUST pass pre-employment requirements: DOT physical including drug & alcohol screening, and background check.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. Hoses and Materials needed/used onsite.
  • Willingness and ability to climb ladders, stairs, etc.
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Availability and willingness to work some weekends and after-regular when needed.
  • Ability to travel overnight as required on occasion.
  • Disciplined, dependable, and good stress management.
