Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac truck and performing excavation tasks safely and efficiently. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

 

  • Operate Hydrovac Truck to perform safe and nondisruptive excavation
  • Strong Understanding of excavation techniques and safe best practices in all environments
  • Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong Communication Skills to coordinate the project with team.
  • Ensure the truck remains in proper and safe working order.
  • Maintain daily e-logs, safety & inspection reports, expense reports, and project reports while ensuring they are properly completed.
  • Must be willing to perform manual labor-related tasks to support projects.
  • Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies, and requirements are met.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws regulating safe driving and the safe and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to perform work based on task conditions and hazards in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain appropriate driver's license with Tanker endorsements. 
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections

Qualifications

  • CDL A with no restrictions
  • Hydovac Operator Experience
  • Tanker endorsement required.
  • MUST pass pre-employment requirements: DOT physical including drug & alcohol screening, and background check.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to lift 50-75 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in all tempatures and all types of weather.
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Availability and willingness to work some weekends and after-regular hours Emergency Response Calls (rotation).
  • Disciplined, dependable, and with good stress management skills.
  • Self starter
