Overview

 

 

Shamrock Environmental company is looking for an experienced CDL A Driver/Tech with tanker and hazmat endorsements , VAC Truck, and Tanker experience preferred. The role of CDL A Driver/Tech would also require the pick-up of totes, drums, and pallets with hazardous and non-hazardous materials from our customer sites.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

You will perform duties associated with industrial/environmental cleaning, hazardous waste picks up/disposal, and emergency response, willing to perform manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER.

  • Operate commercial motor vehicles such as Vacuum trucks, Tankers, Trailers, Box, and Dump Trucks.
  • Ensure the truck remains in proper and safe working order.
  • Maintain daily e-logs, safety & inspection reports, expense reports, and project reports while ensuring they are properly completed.
  • Must be willing to perform manual labor-related tasks to support projects.
  • Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies, and requirements are met.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws regulating safe driving and the safe and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to perform work based on task conditions and hazards.
  • Maintain an appropriate driver's license with required endorsements.

Qualifications

  • Class A required.
  • Tank Endorsement Required.
  • Experienced 10-speed manual transmission with no restrictions.
  • Pass pre-employment requirements: DOT physical including drug & alcohol screening.
  • Background check and Clear MVR.
  • HAZMAT (or willing to obtain) Endorsement in 30 days.
  • Willingness and ability to lift 50-75 lbs. regularly.
  • Availability to climb ladders, stairs, etc.
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Availability for after-regular hours Emergency Response Calls (rotation).
  • Ability to travel overnight as required on occasion.
  • Disciplined, dependable, and good stress management.
  • You will help perform duties associated with industrial/environmental cleaning, hazardous waste picks up/disposal, and emergency response, willing to perform manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER.
