Overview

 

  • Perform a wide variety of manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER and industrial and commercial waste management operations

 

Responsibilities

Must have the ability to wear a tight-fitting, negative-pressure respirator and occlusive chemical protective clothing.

Must be able to work in confined spaces frequently.

Must be able to work well with people to create and maintain a safe work environment.

Must be able to work on uneven work surfaces.

Frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes, and weights including bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling drums, totes and containers, handling of tank truck hose up to 50 -75 lbs.

Physically able to climb on ladders and on top of tankers at heights up to 18 ft

May use hand manual and power hand tools and shovels.

Must be ok with working around strong smells frequently.

Exposure to hazardous chemicals with designated personal protective equipment.

Exposure to elements including heat and cold.

Exposure to dusty environment

Exposure at times to woodland, streamside, swampland flora and fauna. 

Must be willing to work 10 -12 shifts as needed

Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sundays)  as needed  

 

Qualifications

  • Perform a wide variety of manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER and industrial and commercial waste management operations
  • Practice Companies and OSHA safety rules and regulations
  • Valid driver’s license with a CLEAR driving record (MVR)
  • Applicant must pass pre-employment requirements: Physical including drug & alcohol screening, background check
  • Frequently lift 40-50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
  • Periodic to frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals with designated personal protective equipment
  • Exposure to elements including heat and cold stress and nuisance dust conditions and woodland, streamside, and swampland flora and faun
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must have the ability to wear a tight-fitting, negative-pressure respirator and occlusive chemical protective clothing.
  • Working on uneven work surfaces frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying sizes, shapes, and weights, pulling drums, totes, and containers, and handling tank truck hoses.
