Overview

Vac Truck and / or tanker truck operator/Driver for waste water transportation and disposal 

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial motor vehicles such as Vacuum Truck, Tankers, Trailers, Box, Dump Trucks
  • Ensure the truck remains in proper and safe working order and that routine and required maintenance occurs on a timely basis
  • Maintain daily e-logs, safety & inspection reports, expense reports, project reports while ensuring they are properly completed
  • Must be willing to perform manual labor related tasks to support projects
  • Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met
  • Comply with all Federal, State and local laws regulating safe driving and the safe and proper handling of hazardous materials
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers
  • Ability to be on call for emergency response (on rotational schedule basis)
  • Ability to perform work based on task conditions and hazards
  • Maintain appropriate driver's license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements
  • Clear Driving Record
  • Experience driving manual transmission
  • History of DOT compliance and safety is required
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines
  • Ability to travel overnight as required on occasion
  • Frequently lift 40-50 pounds
  • Willingness & ability to frequently climb ladders, stairs etc.
  • Must pass DOT physical, drug screening and background check
  • Must currently possess both Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements prior to joining the Shamrock team.
  • Valid history of job stability.
  • 2+ years or more of driving experience preferred.
