Overview

Shamrock Environmental, a premier environmental services company, is looking to add a proven business development professional to our sales and marketing team in the Florida market. Shamrock operates through the Southeastern USA and has a strong presence in Florida.  Our Lakeland, Florida central waste treatment facility enables us to service customers wastewater treatment, industrial services and non-hazardous transportation needs throughout the state. Responsibilities

  • A track record of performance that demonstrates a strong understanding of the environmental services industry and in-depth customer relationships
  • A technical, operational or project management background in the environmental services industry  
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation and computer skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within all functional departments
  • Aptitude for understanding and applying waste regulations to facilitate development of customer focused solutions
  • Self- starter with ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated industry 

Qualifications

  • Implement company’s account-based sales program to develop new business
  • Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Initiate, build, expand and maintain strong relationships with customer’s organization across multiple departments (senior management, environmental, maintenance, operations, risk management, health & safety, purchasing, etc.)
  • Identify and secure strong working relationships with each account’s key decision makers
  • Drive in-depth account development with new and existing customers through frequent proactive contact with accounts and active participation in professional associations.
  • Schedule, attend and facilitate sales calls, customer meetings, site walks etc
  • Assist internal customer service representatives, estimating and operations teams in the development of opportunities including scope of work, proposals, quotes, customer deliverables, etc.
  • Focus primarily on new accounts development while cultivating and growing relationships with existing accounts.
  • Provide weekly and monthly mandated reports  
  • Facilitate and provide superior external and internal customer service 
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable activity with assigned accounts
  • Complete projects assigned by Senior management
  • This position will be filled by a local candidate

 

Education & Experience:

  • 5 years of business development experience in the environmental industry, wastewater treatment or industrial services is preferred.
  • Business development experience in Florida is required.
  • A Bachelor of Sciences Degree is preferred.  In Lieu of degree, 10+ years of proven related industry experience is required.
