Overview

Responsible for managing and overseeing all operational activities of the New Bern, NC Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following Shamrock’s safety program, processes, policies and practices.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Overall profit & loss responsibility for the New Bern, NC Business Unit.
  • Oversee all aspects of Business Unit which includes, but is not limited to, personnel, site walks/meetings, project scoping, project execution, project sourcing, negotiations with customers, vendors and subcontractors, customer service and satisfaction, invoicing and collections, etc.
  • Interview, hire and mentor all Business Unit employees
  • Actively participate in morning safety and operations meetings
  • Ensure that all Business Unit employees manage the appearance and maintenance of all assigned equipment/vehicles and communicate any needs/problems in a timely manner
  • Hold personnel accountable to company performance standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all work performed is in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Work closely with Sales Team to advance existing customer relations and develop new customers.
  • Review and approve proposals prior to submittal
  • Assist in ensuring projects are executed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations contract requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Support the company’s 7/24/365 Emergency Response Service.
  • Continuously provide employees initial and ongoing safety training per Shamrock and Customer’s required training schedule
  • Maintain the highest ethical and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental services, industrial services and emergency response work is required.
  • 5+ years of Profit and Loss experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Equipment including: Vacuum Equipment, Tanker transportation vehicles, pumps and “yellow iron” is preferred.  
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of DOT compliance is required.
  • RCRA experience is preferred; 40 OSHA Training is required.
  • Leader with high Integrity, that is adaptable, organized and reliable.
  • Good written and oral communication skills with intermediate computer skills.
  • Overnight Travel (5%)
